What health conditions can an APD help with?

APDs help treat a wide range of conditions including diabetes, heart disease, cancers, gastrointestinal diseases, food allergies, food intolerance’s, disordered eating as well as overweight and obesity.

Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

A referral is not required to make an appointment with a Ripe Health team member; however, you may wish to discuss this with your GP/Health professional as they can provide supporting medical information in relation to your nutritional health needs.


How much is an appointment?

  • Dietetic Initial Assessment (60min) - $165

  • Dietetic *Extended Review (45min) - $120

    * Suitable for returning clients who have not see their dietitian for over 6 months

  • Dietetic Review (30min) - $99

Can the appointment fee be covered by Medicare or my Private Health Fund?

Medicare provides rebates for visits to APDs treating chronic health conditions (such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer) under a care plan coordinated by a general practitioner. Visits to private practising APDs are also covered by most private health funds.

Does Ripe Health take NDIS participants?

Ripe Health dietitians are qualified and trained to support people with disability to improved their health and wellbeing by providing personalised nutritional assessment and dietary plan. We provide dietetics support for NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.

What you eat can significantly impact your physical and mental health. Our dietitians aim to support you to feel and function better through the right dietary choices. We can visit your home, workplace, or preferred local facility around Goulburn Valley or Greater Shepparton region.
